Celtic Gypsy Tangos with Randal Harrison on Violin and Chin Cello, Stas Venglevski on Accordian, Geoffrey Brady on Vibraphone and Percussion and Mark Urness on Bass. A picnic in the park.
This will be the first performance with our new bassist, Mark Urness. Drummer Geoff Brady and I are very excited to be playing with Mark. The addition of his upright bass sound has expanded our repertoire and is pushing us into new directions.... going forth where no man has gone before..... well you get the idea. Here is a little more about Mark, but make sure you come down and see us, introduce yourself and find out what a nice guy he is, too:
Bassist Mark Urness received a Master of Music in double bass performance from the University of Cincinnati and is currently a faculty member at Lawrence University. His diverse performance experience includes five years as Principal Bassist for the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra and New York performances with Adam Nussbaum, Lew Soloff, Eric Rasmussen, and Curtis Fowlkes. Urness was awarded First Prize in the 2001 International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition.
See you at the show!

"If haven't caught Randy's act lately, you've been missing out. Part Nicoli Pagannini, part Stephan Grapelli, an evening with the Randal Harrison Trio is gonna blow yer socks off. I am absolutely surprised that these guys haven't gone to national recognition. When you come, be sure to request the "Ogre" song. Wow!"
